Generosity of spirit and acts of kindness are at the heart of Salina Shares. We are comprised of clusters of friends throughout our town in which community is unfolding as a way of life.
What began as group outings for random acts of kindness, continues to grow into activities and outings with the intention of being a “sudden good break” to those we meet along the way. We share what we can when we can in an effort to release hope, impact lives and affirm the dignity of everyone we meet.

Janie Ford graduated from the California Holistic Institute in San Luis Obispo, CA, in July 2013 after completing their 200 hour practitioner program. She then went on to take 50 more hours in business and ethics, prenatal and infant massage and trigger point therapy.
Janie provides massage to women in the Salina, Kansas community who deserve time away to rejuvenate, relax and restore.

Gilda Alvarez
Gilda Alvarez is originally from Yuma, Arizona, but has called Kansas home for the last 10 years. She graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, and has lived and worked in the Salina area since. Gilda has been acting and singing in local dinner theatres as well as with the Bethany College Music and Theatre Departments. She has received training from nationally-recognized talent developers and agents and participated in showcases around the country. Gilda is also an advocate for her neighbors through Salina Shares, a new non-profit which she has helped organize. She serves as a team lead for Laundry Love, a neighborhood outreach program.
